MESSAGE FROM ASSOCIATE DEAN

To meet ever increasing demand for Agricultural graduates, the Committee on Agriculture and allied sections constituted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh recommended enhancement of admissions in Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Lam, Guntur by offering affiliation to new Agricultural Colleges in the state.

Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Lam, Guntur issued press notification for EoI (Expression of Interest) inviting the applications from the interested societies and NGO’s.

In response to the press notification of ANGRAU, Kadiri Babu Rao Educational Society submitted all the necessary documents and after series of rigorous inspections by the authorities of ANGRAU, affiliation has been accorded to Kadiri Babu Rao College of Agriculture, CS Puram in the year, 2016

Knowing the importance of Agricultural Education in rural areas, the Govt. has rightly sanctioned Agricultural College at CS Puram in Markapur district as the ideal location to start the Agricultural College. The District has varied agro-climatic conditions congenial for growing of various field as well as fruit and plantation crops.

The College would help the farming community of the state in general and Markapur District in particular by way of producing well trained manpower, genuine agricultural inputs like seeds, planting material and other information from time to time for overall development of the rural community.

The total area of the College is 150 acres and total strength of the students is 480. Our College has 32 teachers and 76 non-teaching staff. Each department has laboratory with sufficient modern equipment. College has well equipped smart class rooms, Library, Sports facilities and separate hostels for girls and boys with attached bath rooms.

Further, the extracurricular activities like NSS, physical education and yoga practices have been included as a part of syllabus. A new programme on student READY (Rural Entrepreneurship Awareness and Development Yojana) has been implemented effectively as per ICAR guidelines. Five ELP units are being established for imparting the effective on hand training and skills to students.

The students from our College completed their B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture and got admissions in PG Programme in ANGRAU and other Universities from 2020 onwards.

I wish all the student’s grand success and bright future in their carrier.

The farmer is only man in our economy who buys everything at retail, sells everything at wholesale and pays the freight both ways”
