MESSAGE FROM ASSOCIATE DEAN

Welcome to the Kadiri Babu Rao College of Agriculture, C.S.Puram, established in the year 2016, as part of government policy to ruralize Agricultural education in the state. Knowing the importance of agricultural education in rural areas, the GOVT  has rightly sanctioned the College at  C.S.Puram in Prakasham district  as the ideal location to start Agricultural College. The district has varied agro-climatic conditions congenial for growing of various field as well as fruits and plantation crops. The college would help the farming community of the state in general and Prakasham district in particular by way of producing well trained manpower, genuine agricultural inputs like seeds, planting materials and other information from time to time for overall development of the rural community.

The total area of the college is 150 acres and total strength of the students over the four years course is 280. The college has well equipped Class rooms, Laboratory, Library, Sports facilities and separate hostels for Girls and Boys.

The College is implementing the course curriculum as per the recommendations of the Fifth Deans’ Committee of ICAR, with total credits of 185 which is common for all the UG degree programmes across the Country. Further, the extracurricular activities like NSS, physical education and yoga practices have been included as a part of syllabus. A new programme on student READY (Rural Entrepreneurship Awareness and Development Yojana) has been implemented effectively as per ICAR guidelines. Four ELP units are being established for imparting the effective on hand training and skills to students.

I wish all the students grand success and bright future in their carrier.
